Module 3 Reflection

Reflecting on the impact of the Internet on your students’ learning.

I think that the Internet has great positive impact on a student's learning. It reaches out to those learners who have visual or even kinestic learning styles. Students are already savvy to many of the up to-date technology society has created. The ability to use it in the classroom peaks their interest which in turn may help them retain the knowledge they have learned. It is a life-long skill and it addresses the 21st century objectives we as educators want our students to learn.

Module 2 reflection

I think the easiest part of the project is finding the standards that the students need because it is provided to the educational community by the state. Creating formative assessments is also easy to do because I have learned many of these strategies throughout various staff developments. Finding the Curriculum Forming Questions is a little more difficult to complete. However, it helps me to be more focused as a teacher. I have the responsibility and ability to meet all my students' needs.

Role as an Instructional Designer

Wow!  That is a fancy title to add to my resume!  I never thought of myself as a designer of any kind.  Can I live up to this new role?  Hopefully by the end of this class I will understand this role and will be able to provide a more in-depth reflection.

This is a lot of information to process and practice.  Wow!  Luckily it is summer time and I have some time to devote to this.  I know it will all be worth it in the big picture of my teaching career.
